Batik is one of the cultural product that represent identity of
Indonesia in the world view. In a fabric of batik exposed culture
identity and history of a region or a city like batik pekalongan, batik
solo, batik Cirebon, batik jogja, batik kudus and many more
UNESCO has set that Indonesian Batik as one of Indonesian cultural
heritage has become World Heritage at October 2nd, 2009 in Abu Dhabi,
United Arab Emirates
World batik summit 2011 with a theme
“Indonesia : Home of Global Batik”, September 28th until October 2nd
2011 which hold in Jakarta Convention Center, is one attempt to protect,
preserve, develop, and promote Indonesian Batik in International World.
Indonesian Batik internationally later become national asset
which capable of sustaining Economical, Trade, Industrial as well as
tourism sector in Indonesia.
World Batik Summit 2011 is a
strategic momentum for Indonesia to increase creativity, quality and
image of Indonesian batik to become more famous and accepted by
International society, as one of seed of Kelompok Usaha Menengah Kecil
(KUKM) and become means to strengthen batik existence as one of
Indonesian Cultural Heritage in International society.
World Batik Summit 2011 is a pillar that sustaining Indonesia financial and is the pride of Indonesian Society.
In this exhibition not only to promote the Indonesians cutting-edge
work, but also become educational moment for young generation to
increase the knowledge of batik product in terms of design, type,
material, and can give inspiration.
Indonesian Batik has a high
value of philosophy and aesthetics and has accepted by International
World. Therefore, World Batik Summit 2011 is expected to boost image and
more popularized Indonesian Batik in International World.
