Lady Gaga Banned

Jakarta : Pop diva and singer Lady Gaga who will have a concert on June 3^rd 2012, may be forced to cancel her Indonesia concert; she has become the first foreign artist to be denied performs in Indonesia. It’s because of the national police refused her a permit followed by lots of protests from extremist. Some of the extremist are young and almost all of them are Muslims.

      

   Despite the 52.000 seats has been sold, which proved that Indonesia has been chosen to be one of the biggest show on Asia of her world tour.  Still, Indonesia thought that she has lots of controversial during her career, also blasted as an exotic, eroticism and porn icon. As we all know, Indonesia is a country which has more Muslims than any other country in the world.

        

Gaga who is well known for her controversial fashion choices “unique and sexy” makes MUI, FPI and lots of Islamic groups give no permit to her. She usually wears 2 pieces of costume when she sings. It’s against the Indonesian cultures and religion especially Islam. They have shared their dislikes and this could makes Mother Monster couldn’t have a concert in Indonesia.

        

 According to Effendi, Lady Gaga controversial reputation is one reason why they defend artists like Lady Gaga who have a reputation more for eroticism than for things like political substance, they are automatically on the losing side against groups that claim to defend cultural and religious values.

         Even the police have stated that they won’t give any permit and the extremist said that they won’t let the pop star off the plan. The promoters still hoping and find the way to hold the concert. They will fight and give the best for the little monster (red: Gaga’s fan). So let’s wait and hope the best for the result.
